Lindows heisst nun Linspire
Microsoft hat wieder einmal einen Rechtsstreit mit einer Millionen-Zahlung beendet. Der Softwarehersteller setzt dem Markenstreit mit dem Linux-Anbieter Lindows um sein Betriebssystem "Windows" mit der Zahlung von 20 Millionen Dollar ein Ende.

Upgrade-Stopp für Upgrade-Advantage
Nach Angaben von Microsoft ist das Lizenzierungsprogramm "Upgrade Advantage" (UA) am 30. Juni ausgelaufen. Damit erhalten die Anwender zwar keine weiteren Upgrades mehr, können jedoch ihre UA-Produkte auch in Zukunft benutzen.
